BUFFET

"Only buy something that you'd be perfectly happy to hold if the market shut down for 10 years."

-Warren Buffet

Another great thought by the boss. Ladies and Gentlemen, please refrain from not only following the herd when it comes to fashion choices, but also buying trendy or 'of the moment' items. Not only can these items be rather expensive, but they come into style as quickly as they exit the building. As Buff. said above, only buy that which you can hold onto for 10 years, maybe it will set you back in the short-term, but in the long-term , similarly to investing, long-term pay outs have great benefits. I have included examples so you can get a feel for those long-term pay out items which everyone must invest in.

Exhibit A

The dreaded 'moon boot'. These Dior boots will not only break your bank short term but they will make sure your boyfriend/girlfriend breaks up with you short term, and will leave you broken hearted long term.

Exhibit B.

Tod's loafers. These beauties- or a similar high quality low statement shoe will last you forever and become a permanent staple within your closet. I prefer the rouge tod's driving mocs.

BUFFET (and i'm not talking jimmy)...

"A public-opinion poll is no substitute for thought."

-Warren Buffet. pure genius, investor extraordinaire. and stylist.

The man had a point. This little gem is very important, and an excellent place to start when assessing ones wardrobe. KNOW THY SELF. Do not under any circumstances follow the herd when outfitting, it usually projects low self esteem and makes ones body appear larger, smaller, or less attractive than normal. Find out what looks best on your body and dress to that. Your own opinion and knowing what looks good on your body is priceless.
